ABOUT GLOBAL YOUTH GROOVE

Global Youth Groove is a Boston based newly formed non profit whose mission is to transform the lives of underprivileged youth in Africa by giving them an opportunity to learn and develop their musical abilities.

Our first project will be initiated in Western Kenya with a focus of developing a model that will be used for similar initiatives in other countries all over Africa. Global youth groove will provide a platform where young musicians in the US who have a passion of giving back their talents and gifts to underprivileged communities in Africa can do so through special designed exchange programs.

American participants will be exposed to other cultures and traditions in Kenya. They will also learn traditional song and dance and learn how to play traditional instruments like the famous Isukuti drums of the luhya tribe. Participants will realize the benefits of sustained cultural interaction while deepening international bonds, this will greatly increase their cultural diversity awareness. Read more…
